FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
A building approval cost will depend on the size and complexity of what you are building. The final price will also depend on whether any referral agency applications are required (ie setbacks, build over sewer etc). If you send us your plans we will be able to provide a quote.
We will outline the required inspections in both our fees and the conditions of the building approval. It is up to you to ensure the inspection takes place. You cannot move to the next stage of construction until the stage inspection is completed.
A building certifier reviews plans to ensure they are compliant to the building codes. They also check work during the construction process. Find out more here.
Whilst we are not able to be involved with the design process we are able to offer a design review and advise where the design may not meet standard or be compliant. Design reviews can take place at any stage of the construction but we recommend getting us involved early.
