FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The cost will vary depending on the complexity of your plans and whether additional applications to council are required. Send your plans to us for a free quote and we will provide you with costs. Once your Building Certification Assessment is complete we will outline any additional applications and further costs and any amendments you can make to your application to avoid these.

There is no one size fits all answer. Once the Building Certifier has completed their initial assessment they will issue a request for information (RFI). They will also advise of any planning applications that are required. Once any planning assessments and the documentation is complete the building approval can be issued straight away.

We will need a full set of engineered plans and a site plan. Before we can commence any work we require a signed engagement agreement. For a full checklist download our guide on the process here.

You can draw your own plans but some councils and applications require drafted plans. Contact us for our how to draw a site plan fact sheet.
