Every job is different and we will require your plans to cost accurately. There are additional costs to the basic building certification cost to be included in your budget. Our quote will supply the anticipated fees.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Queensland laws define a swimming pool as any structure that:
- is capable of being filled with water to a depth of 300mm or more
- is used primarily for swimming, wading, paddling or the like.
This applies to wading pools (including blow-up pools) and spas.
Throughout Queensland the state government’s pool safety laws applies to all pools, including those at:
- houses
- unit complexes
- hotels
- motels
- backpacker accommodation
- boarding houses
- caravan parks
- mobile van parks.
If your portable pool or spa can hold at least 300mm of water the pool safety laws apply.
If you send us your plans we will be able to provide a cost for the building certification assessment and inspections. Once the initial assessment is completed we can advise if any additional planning applications are required.
Once we have the correct paperwork the approval process itself is quick. The time and delays are in planning applications and getting the required paperwork together.
