Every job is different and we will require your plans to cost accurately. There are additional costs to the basic building certification cost to be included in your budget. Our quote will supply the anticipated fees.

In Queensland dual occupancy rules are governed by local councils and there are difference definitions governing builds. You need to contact you local council and check local planning regulations to find out the variances that will impact your development.
Dual occupancy and duplex builds have to meet the standards set out in the Building Code Australia (BCA). There will be additional requirements to do with access, connection to services, infrastructure works, landscaping, screening and refuse storage that will be determined by the local authority. The local authority will have the planning regulations available on their website.
Different councils have different rules. If you check on your local authorities website you should be able to find some initial guidance. You can engage our planning team to provide a planning report which will help guide your development process.
If you send through your plans we will be able to provide a quote for the building approval assessment and required inspections. Once we do the initial assessment we will be able to advise the planning applications required and cost for these. Find out more about what is required here.
